Windows 10: Install Realtek HD Audi Driver Failure!! [Error code : -0001] cannot install realtek driver

My problem started with headphones. Previous day everything worked fine, but the next day headphones didn't make any sound, I plugged them in phone and they worked. So first thing I did, UpdatedRealtek drivers and it said it's up to date, then I went to device manager and switched driver version and still nothing. So after that I searched online tutorials and one of them said that I should try completely uninstall Realtekdriver and remove its folder, and then Install latest driver from their website.


So after attempting to install Realtek latest driver it displayed this error - Install Realtek HD Audi Driver Failure!! [Error code : -0001]

Later I tried to download their old driver which was ATI driver, which install was successful, but my headphones still didn't work so after installing their older driver I download latest and still nothing.


I'm using Asus Fx5005dy laptop and OneOdio headphones which useHeadphone Jack

I would want to fix my headphones

I can't find a way to disable secure boot.
I have a DG41WV mobo and it doesn't have this option under security, boot, advanced tabs.
Am i missing something?

Hi,

I am using Windows 10 Home, Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.572). In my Device Manager under Sound, Video and Game Controllers I have 3 things: High Definition Audio Device, Nvidia High Definition Audio and Nvidia Virtual Audio Device.

I would like to have the Realtek High Definition Audio, however when I try to download it I get the error code: install realtek hd audio driver failure error code -0001.

Is there a point in reinstalling the Nvidia drivers??

I had a recent issue with my audio driver and decided to uninstall and reinstall the Realtek HD audio driver. Upon trying to reinstall the driver I keep getting an error: Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure Error Code: 0xE0000246. I am stuck and would really
appreciate any help.
