Windows 10: Install Win 10 as an update over 8.1?

Just curious if their are any brave souls who actually updated 8.1 to 10? And if you did, what where your experiences like? No dual-boots, no drive swapping, no VM's or VHD's, a real live update.

win 10 stuck at at searching for updates

am trying to install the full version of win 10 over win 7 but win 10 is stuck at searching for updates wats the problem

 

Corrupt install of Win 10 over existing Win 7"

1. No messages just locked up screen for a minute then a black flash before regain operation.

2. Windows Media Player

3. An exercise CD

4. In the SYSTEM32 directory I find 10-12 sql... files

When I try the win key I also get the screen lock up, minute or more of lock up then black flash before access to screen.

 

I've done it and I didn't have any issues.

Just make sure you have imaged your C: drive "just in case"! Nice to have an escape route!

 

For sure! I already had to restore 8.1 twice while attempting to get it and 10 to dual boot. Thanks for the tip!
