Windows 10: Install Windows 10 on SSD

Ok guys, this is doing my brain in! I've got an old SSD that I've salvaged from a friends pc, it's 120GB and I want to install it in a Lenovo V520.

I thought I'd try the original harddrive first but a couple of things are going horribly wrong:

1. My monitor does not recognise the pc. Well it does when connected to VGA and booting from the original HDD but the moment I press shift and restart and select either "Use a device" or "Reset the device" the monitor drops signal. This is happening with a HP P224 monitor and Sony tv connected via VGA
2. I can't seem to be able to install Windows 10 to the SSD using a docking station. How can I do this?
3. I can't log on to the original HDD as it has a username and I do not know the password. I've tried Hirens Boot on USB but cannot use it due to the frst issue

If anyone has any solutions to any of these issues that would be a great help.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
