Windows 10: Installation file not working after download

Hi,

I recently purchased Doodly video making software from a Facebook advertisement by the company featuring a special discount. However, since download, the setup file is not working with 'run as administrator' option too and throwing the following error codes:

• Error Code '0xc0000001'- Occurred once during the first try, didn't occur again after restarting the laptop.
• Error Code '0xc0000005'- Occurred a few times after the above step. Searched on Youtube and executed the below steps and tried to install after each step:
  • Disabled antivirus quick heal and windows firewall- Got the same error code.
  • Ran system scan using the command 'sfc /scannow', system didn't find any issue but again got the same error code.
  • Ran 'DEP' to exclude the Doodly set-up file from its executable programs, but didn't succeed as the system didn't allow.

After that contacted Doodly and they sent another link for another set-up file. This time got the error code '0xc000007b' while trying to install. Again searched on Youtube and made the following changes, but all in vain:

• Downloaded both 'directx' and '.net framework'. However, '.net framework' didn't run as the system showed the latest version is already installed.
• Ran the command 'regedit' and under the first option went to the .exe folder, checked 'value data' mentioned as 'execfile'. Then went to the folder 'execfile' and changed the 'value data' to "%1"%* as was advised in a certain Youtube video.

I tried my best but couldn't get rid of the problem. Kindly help me to resolve the issue.

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Finding .IMG or .ISO file in Windows 8.1 Pro download

Hey guys,

In preparation for my new PC I downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro from Dreamspark, and I wanted to burn it to a DVD, so I can install it on the new PC.
However, in the downloaded files I can't find a .IMG or .ISO file anywhere. I understood that the .IMG file is the one you need to burn to the DVD?

Any suggestions?
