Windows 10: Installation Problem (BUILD 10586)

Hi...I am on windows 10 home edition ... yesterday i download build 10586 .iso directly from microsoft site since i am unable to download it from windows update...first i try to make it bootable to flash drive using rufus and ran "setup.exe" file but installation disappears after reaching to 18% with "Something Happened..Installation has failed" error.. i even remove modem , pen drive and retry the same but no success. I even mount the .iso directly to lappy but still the same message .. any solutions ?? since my net is slow i am not going to download the 2.8 GB File again xD

every attempt to upgrade to Win 10 SL build 10586 failed

hello sumit bro, first of all thanks for all your help, Now at last after a long struggle, I get the Win 10 Build 10586 and upgraded my Windows 10 build 10240 to build 10586 successfully. Now Can I make a clean install of this Windows 10 Build 10586 on
my PC with the Win10 build 10586 ISO image.

 

Windows 10 installation stucks at 40%(Installing drivers and features 23%)

Do you have a SD card inserted.

These are said to cause these problems.

You can use the Media Creation Tool to make a bootable USB drive. Else you can download the ISO using the same tool and mount it as a drive or burn it to a DVD.

 

Can I clean install build 10586 instead of upgrade coz its not installing through upgrade?

 

Yes. You can do a clean install. But, I am not sure a clean install will be successful when an in-place install has failed.

You can try it. No harm done except time spent.
Make sure your iso is for Win 10 Home, same bit version, and same language as you are now using.
If you do a clean install, you will be asked for a product. Select the SKIP option and continue. After installation completed, go check if it is activated. My understanding is ..... it will be activated automatically.
