Windows 10: Installation problems

Apologies if this sounds complicated.

My desktop came with Vista, I upgraded to Windows 7 with media, then upgraded to Windows 10 online when it was a free offer from Microsoft early days of W.10. This computer died a couple of years ago, power button failure. I removed the hard drive, plugged it into my laptop and copied my data files into the laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. I then used the hard drive to store copies of my files, leaving all the Windows 10 systems files untouched.

That laptop has now died, hard disk failure.

I have bought a new laptop Windows 10 installed and all activated.

I have replaced the hard drive in the duff laptop and reinstalled Windows7, there is a driver issue with the network adaptor driver, so no internet access. I can plug my old desktop hard drive to the duff laptop and bring up Windows 10 with internet access!!, Microsoft have, automatically, applied all the outstanding updates, except 1903 cos I am running off a USB port. I would like to move this copy of Windows 10 from the old desktop hard drive onto the new hard drive of the duff laptop, but I do not have the digital licence or product key for the desktop system. Can I move Windows 10 across???

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
