Windows 10: installed a few day activated fine then laptop packed in suddenly and totally so now scrap...

reinstalling windows 10 on another laptop, after laptop with activated license after only a few days fails and is now scrapped, question is can i reinstall and activate on another newer laptop is this ok ?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
