  1. Installed a new stick of DDR4 RAM and system started crashing ever since.

Good night, I've been having some problems with my laptop ever since I added a new stick of DDR4 RAM to my system, ever since I installed it my laptop would sometimes randomly crash showing an almost fully black screen except for a glitchy flashing bar at the top, and also me not being able to do anything until I turned off the system and turned it back on and even that would not fix it. Also, sometimes I would just get a blue screen saying my computer ran into a problem and I realized when I took out the new stick of RAM the laptop would work fine. Also, it had never crashed before I first in

    :)

Installed a new RAM but doesn't show up.

Hi, I have recently bough a new RAM to upgrade my laptop,

    the Laptop default spec:

    • Window 10 64bit
    • 4gb Nvidia gtx1650
    • 8gb ddr4 ram
The issue is that I bought a new Crucial 8gb DDR4 RAM stick (same speed as a default RAM stick) in hope to upgrade my laptop to 16gb RAM, however, after installed, I check the system information and its still only showed 8gb of Physical RAM, the task manager
also only showed 8gb, however the Virtual memory showed 15.9gb. So I am not sure if its suppose to be like this since I spent money to upgrade physical RAM.

    Thanks

  3. Memtest crashing PC during high RAM usage

I have a new build and am trying to work out some kinks regarding crashing... it seems my new ram is unstable at the advertised clock speed as when I run HCI Memtest using close to all the available RAM, the system will restart/crash. I have also ran memtest86 on single and both sticks and had zero errors with 4 passes... the issue seems to be ONLY in Windows.

Does anyone have any clue what could be the issue here? I'm concerned that the problem will become more significant going forward in time.

I can give the full build details if that would help:

    • MOBO: Asus X470-F Gaming
    • CPU: Ryzen 2600x
    • Video: GTX 1080
    • RAM:ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10 16GB (2 X 8GB) DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000)
    • PSU: EVGA 650w i believe
    • OS: Windows 10

Windows crashes after new RAM added, possibly incompatible RAM

I had 8GB of DDR4 2133 RAM, I added a new 8GB RAM unit of the same type just different manufacturer.
When both RAMs are installed my computer crashes randomly every 10-30 mins.
I looked for solutions online with no help. I tried to start the computer with just the new RAM unit installed - it crashes almost immediately.
I managed to take a screenshot of CPU-Z Memory in all 3 situations:

My comp with just the old RAM unit:
    imgur.com

My comp with just the new RAM unit:
    imgur.com

    My comp with both RAMs:
    imgur.com

I don't know much about memory but I can see that NB frequency and number of clocks is different.

    The new problematic RAM unit:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/HyperX-HX421C14FB2-8-FURY-DDR4...

    My system specs:
    Win 10
    i7-6700
    ASRock H110M-HDV

Is it possible that the new RAM is incompatible with motherboard/CPU even though it's the same type and everything?
Or maybe I need to tune the frequency in BIOS or something? Please help
