Windows 10: Installed new msi550 motherboard and ryzen 5500 cpu booted up to windows 10 went into bios...

I have tried everything to go back to original settings. Took motherboard battery out several times even overnight. Jump cmos pins on motherboard to clear. Nothing works. Please help!

What additional steps are required to get Windows 11 Pro install by USB drive on a new build system with X670-P chipset and a Ryzen 7950X cpu?

I keep getting the "this system does not meet minimum requirement" even though the CPU and Chipset are listed as compatible. I have checked the Bios and TPM 2.0 is on in the settings. This is a new built system with blank hard drives.

SSD won't boot on new motherboard

Hi all,

I am trying to boot on a new motherboard/cpu from an old MBR-partitioned SSD with Windows 10 on it (CPU I9 Motherboard Biostar H310M). The SSD used to work just fine on my previous motherboard. My new motherboard is configured for both UEFI & Legacy boot. Weirdly enough, the SSD is only recognized on SATA 3 or 4, not on SATA 1 or 2. I have not done any bootsect repair yet.

Upgrading Ryzen CPU

Ryzen 5 1600 to 2600 - just for my workstation.

UPDATE:



All went well.

The Bios was up to date.

Old heatsink and cpu removed and new ones installed in less than 15 minutes.

Booted into Bios - to check it was correct cpu installed.

Then into Windows 10, new CPU found automatically. Just had to reinstall chipset drivers.
