    A few days ago I updated Windows, and now my PC will not shut down. It hangs in this sleep/hibernate state and the CPU fan starts going nuts. Holding the power button does nothing, it just keeps the PC in sleep/hibernate-like mode. I have to the unplug the whole machine to turn it off. It's driving me nuts, I've tried:Updating all drivers, including motherboard chipset and BIOS Ran sfc /scannow and CHKDSKReset power plans to defaultTroubleshoot power optionsUnchecked fast start-up in power optionsReset CMOS removed the batteryWent into device manager and unchecked the power option in Intel I
