Windows 10: Installed Office 2016 Pro Plus on new laptop, but parts of it double listed in Start menu...

Yesterday I finally installed Office 2016 Pro Plus one of 5 legal copies with key on my new-ish Lenovo Legion 5 laptop with Windows 10.GeekSquad's repeated attempts to install over a year of service contract failed.I looked to see if any Office was on my computer beforehand and found nothing.I was able to type in my key successfully, and have been able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint.But my Start menu shows these and other part of Office with a blue-font "New" under each.When I try to open and use any of these, Microsoft says my key is invalid.I know my key is valid, because I bought a 5-copi

Yesterday I finally installed Office 2016 Pro Plus (one of 5 legal copies with key) on my new-ish Lenovo Legion 5 laptop with Windows 10.

GeekSquad's repeated attempts to install over a year of service contract failed.

I looked to see if any Office was on my computer beforehand and found nothing.

I was able to type in my key successfully, and have been able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

But my Start menu shows these and other part of Office with a blue-font "New" under each.

When I try to open and use any of these, Microsoft says my key is invalid.

I know my key is valid, because I bought a 5-copies version, and have 3 of them installed elsewhere, including my older hp pavilion laptop I'm trying to retire.

Again, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are working now on the Lenovo, with Microsft seeming to have accepted my key when I opened Word.

In C://ProgramFiles(x86)/Microsoft Office/Office16 there is a full listing of 335 files.

How do I clean up the "New" items and just have my legal keyed-in copy working? (Afraid to uninstall the working parts, and don't want to trigger Microsoft forcing me to get 365.)

Open the Settings App, then go to Apps - Apps and Features.

Scroll down to find apps beginning with Microsoft, do you find Microsoft Office 2016 Pro Plus there, and is there also another version of Office like Microsoft 365 listed there?

Only Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 is listed.

(For comparison, though I will mention that I still use Paint regularly, but only Paint 3D is listed under Apps.)
