    Installed RAM 5.9GB


    I bought a new motherboard (Asus H110M-K-D3) and CPU (Pentium G4400) and using my old RAM (2+4GB) and now Windows 10 says I have 5.9 GB installed (NOT 6GB installed 5.9 usable)
    The previous board said 6GB installed.
    I use a dedicated video card, IGP is disabled.
    Task Manager says 0 hardware reserved

    What does this mean?

    5.9 GB of 8 GB is listed as hardware reserved!?

    My RAM is mem tested and all good. Running Windows 10. 5.9GB is listed as unusable, hardware reserved!!! How do I get it back? Should I want to? My system runs great; no errors. Still, I assume that 5.9 out of 8 GB is excessive.

    note: the common "fix" to clear max mem box in msconfig does not work! Tried it. My bios has no memory configuration settings. Where did my RAM go? Anyone, please, have a solution that does work?

    phone storage

    internal storage of my phone is 8gb. at present 5.9gb is used. i could not find out the reason. i do store my apps and everything in external sd card.

    Sounds like one of the modules may be defective, or your RAM isn't compatible with this motherboard. What does the BIOS show for RAM?

    get this (CPU/Z) Download CPU-Z - MajorGeeks

    screen shot the memory tab then goto spd under memory slot selection pick a slot thet has your ram installed and screenshot both of those , tbh im sure its just a glitch and theres nothing wrong *Smile but if your obsessive like me this will put your mind at rest *Wink
