Windows 10: Installed Windows 10 from USB drive, now stuck at setup. Jumps back to "choose your region"

I have been on a quest to "reset PC" - which I could not get to work. SFC scanner failed as well, and so on and so on.

I finally managed - I think - to create a so called "install media". Windows 10 on a USB drive, as I prefer to call it.
Then I managed to boot from this USB drive how nice is google?! and install Windows 10, while also getting the option to delete everything on the PC which is exactly why I wanted to do a "reset PC"!. Win win so far.

the problem When starting my computer, I enter the Windows setup part, where I am first asked to choose region. "Let's start with Region. Is this right?". Next is keyboard, then second keyboard which I skip and then it says "just a moment" loads for 3 seconds, flashes and empty windows desktop for a second, and then back to ""Let's start with Region. Is this right?".

I have tried:
- Putting the USB drive into all 3 inputs.
- Did an update because the PC restarted itself at some point and said I should, so I did made the touchpad work, so yay
- I've 'interupted startup with enter key' and tried startup repair, and even a "reset PC" which works now, naturally.
- I've tried f12 and booting up from the 2 different options I have there. Ends at the same place with the same problem. Even tried without the USB in the PC as well. Doesn't seem to matter actually.

- I've tried to shut off the computer for 4 hours and just.. tried again.
- I've tried to let is stay there and loop for hours becasue even if I don't click past "choose region" is flickers and loads like if it goes back that same spot again, even if it is already "there".

So there I am. Day .. 4! I think it is now.


I am a computer noob : Anyone knows this windows setup loop-issue and can explain my options in laymans terms?

Is it time for Windows 10 already?

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

 

Windows 10 USB boot

Hi there, am not a windows 10 expert. I have a pc in the bedroom on windows 10, I messed up the bootloader trying to fix the xp on that system.

System wont boot, trying to repair via win 10 usb installer.

Downloaded the media creation tool to install windows 10 installer on usb stick. Not compatible with a host of usb sticks I have. Tried the usb sticks that others use, but I think they use rufus; as the media creation tool by win 10 does not detect the usb stick.

So quick question, the win10 machine i am trying to repair the bootloader is a win7 upgraded to win10.
If i were to use the usb win10 installer to "repair installation" does the version of the iso downloaded via the media creation tool matter?

There is three options:
Windows 10
Windows 10 Home
Windows 10 N

Also is there a step by step instead of using rufus as I want to try an alternative method of creating a usb win 10 installer. Preferably with more compatibility.

System is a asus sabertooth 990 (r2?) with AMD phenom X 6.

Also is there any other software I can load onto the usb that can repair the bootloader easily?
