  1. Installed Windows 10 to new PC - GUI looks older?

I just built a PC and installed Windows 10 to my SSD via flash drive, and once I booted it for the first time and got to the desktop home page the GUI looks older, gray task bar, kind of like Windows 95. I haven’t done anything else because I want to make sure this isn’t unusual before continuing — is this just because I haven’t updated any drivers or started Windows updates, or is something actually wrong? Any way for me to troubleshoot and see?

EDIT; also of note, if it’s important, I selected “I don’t have an activation key” during setup because I plan on buying the key later. Not sure if this could also be the cause of the problem.

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
