Windows 10: Installer stopped prematurely error

Whenever I try to use a .msi installer, I get an error that says "Installer stopped prematurely" I've tried a few solutions like making sure the service was started and unregistering and registering it, but none of them worked.

Your suggested step 1, worked temporarily. Computer is back to sleeping prematurely. Any other suggestions?

• Click All Programs, then Accessories.
• Right-click Command Prompt, select Run as administrator.
• Press Enter. (Note: The next line should have a message saying that the registration was successful.)
  
• Run the installation again.
