Windows 10: Installing a ASUS PCE-AX58BT network adapter in my Windows 10 desktop - gives a Code 10

When I installed this adapter, and downloaded the latest drivers from ASUS, under properties, the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz adapter as it is described in my Device Manager list shows -


"This device cannot start. Code 10

{Operation Failed}

The requested operation was unsuccessful.


Anyone else had this problem? ASUS says that it may be a Windows problem.

If the driver version is 6.30.223.75 then this may be an older driver.

Did you download and install the ASUS PCE-AC68 Utility 2.1.4.3 for Windows 10 from the following link ? :

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

 

Randomly losing internet connection on a wifi network

Well after trying everything you have I gave up and got a new card (doesn't help you much as you have a notebook)

But got this today PCE-AX58BT | Networking | ASUS Global and it's been stellar - no lags or drops
