Windows 10: Installing a new SDD, what happens to my Windows 10 license?

Hello, I have an older computer laying around that I wanted to give away, coincidentelly I also have a SDD that I won't use anywhere so I figuered I'll install it. The process is pretty straight forward, but when this computer was bought it came with either 7 or 8, and I checked the settings, which says I have a digital license.

So my thinking is to transfer to OS into a USB stick on media creation tools, but the next step is where I am lost. It says on Microsofts website that the activation is tied to my account, which is? is it the microsoft I used to log in?

Once I copy the OS to a USB, I just install and log in with my account and the installation should be fine?

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
