Windows 10: Installing Application on Windows 10

    I have an application created in VB6. The program was previously on the computer (Windows 10 is the operating system) in question without an issue. I uninstalled the current program to install a new version. Upon installing the update, the following error shows:

    Error 1402 Could not open key.

    HKEY_Local_Machine32\Software\Classes\Interface\{BEF6E003-A974-010A-8BBA-00AA00300CAB}\

    proxystubclsid. Verify that you have sufficient access the that key, or contact your support personnel.


    So to get the program back up and running, I tried to install the prior version which had been installed over a year ago with no issues, the same error comes up. There have been no changes on this computer other than Windows 10 updates. How do I find out the specific issue with this error message and be able to install the program. The install has been tested on other Windows 10 computers without any issue.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Installing Application on Windows 10

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
