  1. Installing DotNet 4.7.2 : Missing "MS root certificate authority 2010"

I'm trying to install DotNet 4.7.2 onto a windows 7 PC. When I go to run the install, I get the error message saying something along the lines of "timestamp signature / certificate can not be verified or is malformed. After looking at the certificates in the properties, I see that it's because the counter certificate "Microsoft root certificate authority 2010" is missing.I checked the certificate stores using MMC and can not find the certificate anywhere. All the certificates listed under the missing certificate are available though timestamp pca 2010 and timestamp service.I currently have t

  2. Adding a Certificate to the Trusted Root Certificate Authority

I really hope there is an answer for this question. We use a large public certificate authority on all public facing sites and services. Unfortunately, it is not one of the default trusted root certificate authorities. Is there any way to import root
certificates into the Windows Phone 8 trusted root certificate authorities? I find it very troubling that so much time and development went into Windows Phone 8, and this issue was not addressed. Because of the way the Lync mobile client works, it is 100%
not possible to connect to Lync without the certificates being trusted. Its bad enough the Lync client Microsoft made for the iPhone is more robust than the Windows and Android versions, but to not even be able to connect would be extremely aggrevating.
I've attempted the whole "email myself the root certificate and install it", and that didn't work. Even with rebooting the phone, etc. Someone, anyone, please HELP!!!

root certificate authority automatically added without internet connection

Windows adds root certificate authority - why and how?

    • After a fresh installation of Windows 10 or Windows 2012 while the devices is not connected to the internet, the system comes with a few basic root certificate authorities. (See image 1)
    • After copying over the installation file for Wireshark (a network sniffer), viewing the file's digital signature details (properties --> digital signatures --> choose one of the signatures and press "details"). (see image 2)
    • The certificate is automatically added to the trusted root certificate authorities. (see image 3)
This is an example of an instance of this behavior. I've seen several more files with different certificates that Windows treats this way.

I am aware that starting Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows doesn't contain all of the trusted root certificates in order to improve performance but is it actually so? Are the hashes of these certificates stored somewhere in the registry? If so, what if they
    are revoked?

I would love to understand this more so if anyone can explain or refer me to documentation that can explain this behavior it will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Certificates problem?

    Hi All,

After a soft reseting my E-ten M800 I am not able to run any of third party software... It is even not possible to install anything including CAB files. The only soft working are from either MS or E-ten. So when I am trying to run anything else a message
box appears saying something about certificates error or missed components

There are following certificates listed in Settings->System->Certificates->Root:

    - ZTEN CA

    - Thawte Server CA

    - Thawte Premium Server CA

    - Starfield Class 2 Certification Authority

    - Secure Server Certification Authority

    - GTE CyberTrust Global Root

    - Go Daddy Class 2 Certification Authority

    - GlobalSign Root CA

    - GeoTrust Global CA

    - Equifax Secure Certificate Authority

    - Entrust.net Secure Server Certification Authority

    - Entrust.net Certification Authority (2048)

    - Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority

    - Class 2 Public Primary Certification Authority

    - Baltimore CyberTrust Root

    - AddTrust External CA Root

    - AAA Certificate Services

Does any one have a clue about the problem?

    Thanks in advance
