    Installing Hyper-V Results in BSOD

On a Fresh Windows10 install I've tried to add Hyper-V and run into this error:System thread Exception not handled - ISASTORAVC.SYSI've got drivers installed although I've now installed them 3x since yesterday as this error causes Windows to become unbootable and then Windows10 graciously rolls back the state of the OS to before I installed drivers. It's infuriating. When I create restore points it will run straight over those and whack my drivers.Would appreciate if anyone has some ideas how to solve this. I've updated all drivers including storage drivers - some threads indicate this as the

  2. Trying to Disable Hyper-V, Getting BSOD

I have been trying to disable Hyper-V so that I can use VirtualBox. Each time I attempt to remove Hyper-V through Windows Features, the OS shuts down, and then hits a BSODs during boot. I am then able to return to a restore point.

    I have tried:

    • Removing the Hyper-V features after a clean boot.
    • Manually disabling the Hyper-V service, manually removing Hyper-V network adapters, and then disabling Hyper-V in Windows Featuers.

I believe the issue might be similar to this (but not the exact same): https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...een-when/edbc92fd-845e-4f55-948a-b06c7925c24d

  3. Hyper V deativication

    Hi Geoffrey,

Hyper-V lets you run an operating system or computer system as a virtual machine on Windows. Before proceeding in disabling
Hyper-V, please create a backup of your files for security purposes.

To disable Hyper-V, please follow the steps below:

    • On the Cortana search box, type Turn Windows Features on or off and press
      Enter.
    • Look for the Hyper-V folder.
    • Uncheck the tick-box next to the main Hyper-V folder and click
      OK.
    • Restart your PC.

Should you have further questions, please let us know.

Where is the Hyper V Manager, How to I start it ?

I am trying to setup an XP virtual Machine on Windows 10 Pro.

I followed the steps in Neil Peterson article of 5/9/2016.

System Requirements - done - ok

    Install Hyper-V - done - ok

Create a Virtual Switch - skip

    Create a Virtual Machine

Create a Virtual Machine with Hyper-V Manager

These steps walk through how to manually create a virtual machine and deploy an operating system to this virtual machine.

    • In Hyper-V Manager, click Action > New >
      Virtual Machine
      to bring up the New

Uhhhhhhhhh - this step obviously implies one knows

    1) Where the Hyper-V Manager is

    2) How to start the Hyper-V Manager

    Isn't that odd ?
