Windows 10: Installing Intel MPI Runtime 2019 on ARM based Windows 11 running on a M1 MacBook through...

I need install Intel MPI Runtime 2019 Update 10 2019.10.321 on ARM based Windows 11 22000.318 running on a M1 MacBook MacBook Pro, 14-inch, 2021, macOS Monterey through Parallels Desktop Version 18.0.1, 53056. The installation begins normally but terminates by itself after extracting the files. I checked the installation log file and found messages "Child window was NOT found", "Waiting end of child process...", and "Return Code of child process: -532462766". I am not completely sure what is happening but most likely it is a problem related to compatibility of x86 codes on the ARM base

Windows 11 ARM issues with multiple games on M1 MacBook Air via Parallels Desktop

Hi everyone,

I am a big fan of retro games. Recently I switched from my MB Pro 2017 with Windows 10 to a new M1 MB Air 2020, 16GB RAM and Windows 11 - Parallels Desktop 17. The new MacBook and Windows 11 are running on ARM.

After setting up Windows 11 and installing FIFA 08, 09, 10, 13, 16 and 17 (the latter three via Origin), I found out that non of these games seem to work. FIFA 08 and 10 start, the menus look fine, sound works as well but once I enter a game the screen turns either black or pink. The other FIFA titles I mentioned aren't even opening.

I tried the following:
- All variations of starting the games in Compatibility Mode, including different emulation settings
- All kinds of graphics settings in the respective games and in Parallels Desktop 17

So far no luck. Does anyone have another suggestion what I could do to open and run these games on Windows 11 ARM?

Could it be an issue involving DirectX?

Are there any other emulation settings except for the ones in the Compatibility tab?

 

Windows 11 Pro ARM for Mac with M1

I'm currently running the latest Dev channel of Windows 11 ARM on a Mac with an M1 chip via Parallels. I want to switch to the Pre-release channel but am having trouble figuring out if there is even a Pre-release version of Windows 11 Pro ARM.

I've read that I have to do a clean install of Windows in order to switch channels, but not sure where to find said ARM Pre-release download. The only download I'm seeing in Insider is for Build 22533--which I believe is still a Dev channel build.

Follow up to this question is that my current Windows 11 ARM Dev channel build is activated. How do I transfer my key over to the Pre-release build (if there is one available)?
