Windows 10: Installing Logitech Unifying Software

Windows 11We just purchased an HP Pavilion notebook with Windows 11. A copy of the Logitech Unifying software was downloaded. When attempting to open the app we get a dialog complaining: “The app you are trying to install isn’t a Microsoft-verified app.”We selected the option: “Get apps from Store” and did not find it.We selected the option” Change my app recommendation settings”That produces a dialog titled: “Apps > Installed apps”There is nothing in here that looks like anything of the concept: “Install the selected app!“Or maybe: “Change the install controls that I

Thanks for the Heads Up on Setpoint....

might I suggest a new pinned thread for the Options Software too ( updated Aug 20th) since all Newer Logitech Products use it.
Eg Mx2, M510 and most other products with a Unifying receiver including Keyboards etc

Use the Logitech Unifying software
You can also use Logitech Unifying software to connect to Unifying receiver for your mouse. If you don't already have it installed, you can download the Unifying software from the Downloads page.
Launch the Logitech Unifying software:
Windows: Start > Programs > Logitech > Unifying > Logitech Unifying Software
Macintosh: Application > Utilities > Logitech Unifying Software
At the bottom of the Welcome screen, click Next.
NOTE: These instructions use Windows screenshots. Macintosh will look slightly different, but the instructions are the same.
Unifying Software

When you see the "Restart the device…" screen, follow the on-screen instructions to turn your device off and then back on.
Restart Device

When your device is detected, you'll see a confirmation screen. Move your mouse to see if the cursor moves with it.
If the connection is successful, click Yes and then Next.
Mouse Detected

If your device doesn't respond immediately, wait a minute to see if it connects. If the device is still unresponsive, select No, and then click Next to restart the pairing process from step 1.
Click Finish to exit the Logitech Unifying software (or click Pair Another Device to pair additional devices). Your device should now be connected.

 

Logitech unifying receiver doesn't work following Windows 10 upgrade.

The Unifying Receiver is not a Bluetooth adapter. Only a Bluetooth adapter can operate a Bluetooth device.

The Logitech Unifying Receiver uses Logitech's proprietary WiFi technology. Bluetooth adapters use the industry standard Bluetooth stack.

This web page from Logitech's website shows that the original Unifying software, which dates back to 2010, is supported on Windows 10. I can speak from personal
experience that my unifying receiver works fine in Windows 10.

Finally, there is no need to pair your Logitech devices again after upgrading or clean installing Windows 10. If you do so, you may find that your Logitech devices no longer operate, and you have to drag out your ancient USB mouse and keyboard from storage
to uninstall and reinstall the Unifying Software and re-do your pairing from scratch. Please don't ask how I learned this.
