  1. Installing old copy's of windows to run in VM's

I have collected a selection of windows systems over the years as I gradualy upgraded my systems.I am now wanting to re-use them for running old software, games and generally have access to what ever I my need from them.Having a load of computers scattered around is not realistic, so I was planing to set up Vertual Machines with each of them. Then I will have acces to them when ever I need.My basic list is :windows 95 0SR2windows 98windows 98 SEXP pro 3 working copies with varied service pack levelswindows 7 pro 32 and 64 bit disk pack I am running windows 10 pro from a free upgrade from

Replacing old hard drive, need way to copy Windows installation across

    Hey Guys,
What would be the best way of copying/imaging the entire contents of an old system drive over to a replacement hard disk for the same machine? I need to copy the Windows installations and all other data to the new drive, and then format the old drive to use as a backup.

Any suggestions? *Smile Installing old copy's of windows to run in VM's :)

Running your Browser in a VM?

    • Install VMware Player or Virtualbox, VMware being faster in my experience
    • Create a VM with sufficent RAM HD and all CPU cores
    • Install Ubuntu/Linux Mint/Debian or some lightweight distro with Xcfe or LXDE
    • Install VMware/Virtualbox tools
    • Almost any distro comes with Firefox
    • Install Ublock Origin/Noscript/Ghostery
    • Disable cookies with a whitelist/use private browsing.
In my experience, running a browser through a VM can slow down scrolling smoothness, video playback and increase ping delay
