Windows 10: Installing Print Drivers from Print Server

Hello all,Our company uses a print server where printer drivers are verified and checked and installed on each logon using Active Eval. If a driver is not present on the PC, it will be automatically installed. Notebooks are configured with Intune and Microsoft Entra joined. Users do not have administrative rights to install drivers after their initial login. How can I ensure that printer drivers are installed exclusively from the print server without requiring administrative rights?***** moved from german to english Community *****

yes, its linux, itl work with any os and any printer.

GRANTED you might have to make sure you are useing a router with the proper hardware to be able to connect to the printer, or some kind of gobetween, like my router does not have USB...

not real sure about DD-WRT's print server capibilitys but openWRT definatly has a package for that

Are you sure that Canon MP830 is even print server capable?

Also, you'll lose a lot of printer features by plugging it into a print server. It'll pretty much only be able to print.

Method 2: Uninstall unnecessary printers

• When Control Panel opens, locate Devices and Printers.
• In Devices and Printers section select the printer you want to remove and click Print server properties.
• Go to Drivers tab. You should see the list of all installed printers.
• Select the printer you want to remove and click the Remove button.
• Select Remove driver and driver package and click OK to completely remove the printer.
• After removing unnecessary printers, restart your PC.
