Windows 10: Installing Quicken 11

I have been using Quicken 11 on Windows 7 Pro. Have downloaded it to my new HP computer with Windows 10 Home and can't install it. have done the recommended run in compatability mode and still get Administrator has blocked access message. I am only user of computer and therefore am Administrator have checked the settings. Any suggestions would be helpful.My alternative is to use another program eg CountAbout which will import files from Quiken. However my Quicken 11 does not seem to allow me to export files other than the address book, so if anyone has any ideas on how to do that it wold be

Old Quicken cant be installed

It might run if you are really lucky but you usually need to install the program using the installer program. The steps here may fix it for you https://www.sevenforums.com/software...fessional.html

If all else fails, you can run a virtual machine for Windows XP or Vista within Windows 10 and run Quicken 2004 in that VM - you will need a licence for the old OS.

Install Quicken as per the instructions but then scroll down and read the further instructions from Fellwalker to set the compatibility mode to Windows 7 - and Hey Presto! The backup now works! Thank you Fellwalker!!
