Windows 10: Installing software in Desktop vs Start screen mode

    Installing software in Desktop vs Start screen mode


    I was thinking about installing Start8 to my start Screen, but would it conflict with my Desktop mode, OR

    are Start Screen and Desktop like 2 different and separate users? Because I don't understand the purpose of logging off and on to switch modes, if it isn't separate?

    Stuck in desktop mode, screen wont come up so cant change to tablet mode.

    * Original Title: DESKTOP MODE VS TABLET MODE

    STUCK IN DESKTOP MODE WINDOWS 10 SCREEN WONT COME UP SO CANT CHANGE TO TABLET MODE. CAN NOT OPEN ACTION CENTRE

    Error code 80004001 wont boot

    Hi,

    I have a similar problem. I have MacBook Pro with Touch ID. I have dual boot and installed Win 10. So far all was working well. After I installed VS 2016 Enterprise the computer restarts and it is stuck on start up screen for more than a day. I re installed
    the OS and installed VS again but same problem.

    There is no start Windows in safe mode. The start up recovery is also not working and after diagnosing it say unable to repair

    Appreciate quick help.

    What I did was installed Start8 which removed the new Desktop menu while starting in Start screen mode but adding the toggle allows me now to switch between all 3 menus
