Windows 10: Installing ubuntu dual boot multiple times with 22.04 and 20.04 caused windows deactivate...

I've already used up the last activation in a computer upgrade... I'd really appreciate it if windows didn't just deactivate.

Once I had Windows 10 RTM dual booting with Linux 17.2. No issue whatsoever.

Just do a restart, and Both Ubuntu and Windows Boot Manager should be listed on your GRUB Boot Menu, as long as the Menu TimeOut isn't set to 0.

I, personally, like to use Grub Customizer. It allows you to set the GRUB Boot Menu options in a GUI, to include options like the Menu TimeOut and default Boot Device/Partition.

Dual booting should be the same for everything or very similar at least.

The basic guide is to backup your data > create a disk with ubuntu on it > disable secure boot > Then boot from the USB > install ubuntu
