    Installing W10 from 8.1

Shortly after windows 10 came about I decided to upgrade my Acer laptop from windows 8.1 to windows 10.
Never looked back windows 10 is great.
Now looking at my C drive in Disc manager it shows a lot of partitions in the HDD.
Would it be possible to delete some of the partitions as wont need the recovery section now windows 8.1 is no longer there.
What would be the best option Please. Many Thanks to all who have looked at my post and thanks to any replies.
    Drive here..............

    :)

Will I lose my free upgrade to Windows 10 if I restore 8.1 then attempt to reinstall 10?

no you wont lose the free W10, but you need to go back to 8.1 then reinstall W10 no later than one month from the initial install of W10, you have one month after which you cannot return to 8.1. it tells you in W10 support faqs.

It looks normal as is. No need to worry.
    400mb contains Recovery tools
400mb contains boot code. Without it, PC won't boot
there's an MSR partition, probably 128MB but not seen with disk management.
    C: is windows OS
16.44GB is Windows 8 factory recovery image.

NOTE: If you don't need the 16.44 gb (Windows 8 image). You can delete it. To delete:
    Open Admin command:
    • diskpart
    • select disk 0
    • select partition 5
    • delete partition override
    • exit

I did give you the instruction on how to delete the partition in post #2.
Open Admin Command: Win+X->Command Prompt (Admin) then type exactly as follows:
Code: diskpart select disk 0 select partition 5 delete partition override exit[/quote]
