Windows 10: installing windows 10 pro from penstick. error="setup has failed to validate the product key"

running windows 8.1 and bought a full version of windows 10 pro. It arrived on a penstick. I have followed every instruction I could find. Still no good.

How can I install???

Windows 10 Setup has failed to validate the product key

I'm running windows 10 pro.

The update and security screen says Windows is activated but just to be sure I went through support and gave them my product ID and they then gave me a confirmation ID and activated windows. That all worked, but the windows 10 installer still says Windows
10 Setup has failed to validate the product key.

I downloaded the iso through the media creation tool, is there a different one I should be using or is something else the matter?

Windows 10 upgrade error : Setup has failed to validate the product key

Hi all,

I have an official version of Windows 8 on my PC, which I successfully upgraded to Windows 8.1 Pro.

Now, I want to upgrade it to Windows 10. I downloaded the .iso file and mounted the disk, and clicked on setup.exe.

Now an error is thrown saying "Something happened", "Setup has failed to validate the product key".

What am i supposed to do ?
