Windows 10: Installing windows - Boot configuration missing

Okay, so I am a bit confused here. I wrote a windows 10 iso to my flash drive on /dev/sec using dd in Linux, as i am looking to just reinstall due to compatibility. When I boot into the flash drive without uefi, it just boots into my grub install instead and skips the drive. When booting with uefi, it gives me an error "The boot configuration Data for your pc is missing or contains errors." I am not sure if it is trying to just boot into the windows 10 OS or the install software, but I checked my BIOS settings and haven't really seen anything out of the ordinary.


Any help or suggestions would be nice. It has worked in the past on other hardware, so I am a bit confused here. Sorry if this is a bit of a newb question as well, I am still learning a lot of things by the day.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information

Upon reboot, I ge the following message:
"Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information.
File: \BCD
Error Code: 0x000000d

You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media, If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer."

I've followed steps of doing bootrec/rebuildbcd - it says "add installation to boot list? Yes(Y)/No(N)/All(A) - I've tried to select Yes and All but it comes up with the requested system device cannot be found.

I really don't want to lose my data so any suggestions would be great?

Re-install xp in dual-boot configuration

I had an installation of xp . Then I added an installation of windows 7 and dual-booted both. Now the xp installation won`t boot and I want to repair / re-install it. If I do this , will it remove the windows 7 boot-loader and if it does then how do I get back my working dual-boot configuration ?
