Windows 10: Installing Windows to an external drive Literally portable Windows with VMWare

So I bought this 1TB external hard drive and had nothing to do with it.So I booted up VMWare and attempted to install Windows using it, and a miracle happened:It worked. Almost flawlessly.Interested? Here's how you do it:1 Get VMWare Player. [I'm not going to link it here]2 Get yourself some way to install Windows, dosen't matter which one. Heck, even Windows 11 will work with this. I used Windows 10 Pro since I had a disk lying around.3 Set up VMWare to use your external hard drive as it's virtual hard drive - this requires having the drive in and setting up the virtual hard disk to us

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

How to install software in portable external drive?

My external 100 gb of my old laptop was running good in storing data, files and others. But i wanted to install software like gimp, visual studio code and similar windows apps as portable in external drive. Is it possible?

 

Any hope for a portable install?

Any OS will install on an external, thumb drive, etc. as long as A: It has the space to be installed in full and B: the device can and is set as the bootable drive.

My suggestion would be to simply by an HDD for the laptop. Stick with Ubuntu. If you really want windows for some reason, wait until you have the money for an HDD and use the Ubuntu currently in place during the mean time.
