Windows 10: Installing WSL causes a blue screen

WSL causing blue screen of death.

Since this morning's April update,

Code:

sudo apt-get update 

causes blue screen of death

So does trying to start a Jupyter kernel.

What happened to WSL and can I fix it?

Issue as such can be due to some broken components on the system files or any software conflicts. In line with your concern, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

• Which version of Windows 10 are you using on your device? To check, type
  wiinver in the Search box and press Enter.
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve your concern?

Also, for better analysis of the problem, I'd like to request for the mini dump file
from C:\Windows\Minidump, so that we can view the blue screen error logs. To be guided on this, click on this
