Windows 10: Installing Xbox app on Windows 10 failing 0x800704CF

I downloaded the Xbox App for PC and I'm trying to install on Windows 10. I do not have any connectivity issues and Windows is fully up to date. I've tried adding the app to my firewall exceptions and turning the firewall off to no effect. I click accept the terms, the install screen starts and immediately goes to this screen:

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Windows Store on win 10 not allowing app downloads..failing with error 0x800704CF

Hi Noel,

Error code 0x800704CF can be caused by corruptions in the cache. To resolve this problem, I suggest that you flush the app cache and restore the performance of the Microsoft Store app.

Here's how:

• Press Windows+R to open Run.
• Type WSReset.exe, and then click OK or press
  Enter.
• Try to download apps.

XBox app crashes on launch in Windows 10

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app on your computer and check.
Follow the steps provided below.

• 
  Type Windows Powershell in search box.
  
• 
  Right click on Windows Powershell and select
  Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Copy and paste the following command.
  
  • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage
• 
  Press Enter key.
  

After uninstalling the Xbox app, I suggest you to download and install the app again and check.
