Windows 10: Instillation of windows 10 on new computer

Hey all,

I'm helping my little brother set up his new computer and we've run into an issue.

With all parts in place, the case fans spin as well as the CPU fan, but nothing else. I am installing from a disc in an exterior CD drive, which I can hear humming. It also was the drive I used to install my OS, albeit some time ago. I am now trying to install on barebones, using onboard graphics and only one SATA.

On startup, fans spin but nothing past that. I do not see the bios screen, in fact, the display doesn't even turn on.


current solutions tried:

-swapping motherboards

-using individual ram sticks


Build:

i5 unsure which sort- his friend donated the mobo and cpu so they are compatible

2x 8gb ddr4

z390 aorus mobo

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
