Windows 10: Integrate gpu is hidden in device manager and not detected by anything

so i dont know what i did to cause this, but recently i noticed that my nvidia gpu was the only one that showed up in task manager. i didnt think much of it until i was solving a problem with something else when the helper noticed that my primary gpu was my integrated gpu. the thing is, my integrated gpu wasnt being detected by anything. i tried to install graphics drivers for it but it said that i didnt have anything which supports it. however, i turned on show hidden files in device manager and it was there. the problem is that it isnt being detected. i went into uefi to try to fix the prim

Device Manager Un-Hiding Hidden Devices

When you connect a plug and play device, Windows Plug and Play manager detects it, finds and installs the driver. Device Manager lists the device with a solid icon.

The driver is only removed when you uninstall the device, not simply by disconnecting the device. When the device is disconnected, its driver is still installed. By default, Device Manager only displays connected devices. When you show hidden devices, note the Bluetooth icon you see is semi-transparent (not opaque). That indicates a "non-present" device. Sometimes also called a "ghost" device. The driver is still installed but the device is not currently detected (i.e. not connected).

Device can be disconnected when

• Device unplugged (e.g. removing a USB device)
• Turning a device OFF
• Disabling the device in BIOS (then windows won't detect it) or
• Device failure

So

• Check BIOS as suggested
• Check board connections
• Can b/t be turned off by a switch? or keyboard combination?

Also possible the b/t h/w failed

 

Windows not detecting dedicated gpu at all on laptop

I have an ASUS FX505DT laptop. Just recently after starting up the pc as usual the gpu was not detected at all. The only evidence there is even a gpu there is that the drivers are installed in device manager. The driver is not reporting any problems. There is no setting to enable the gpu in bios, nor does it list the gpu in hardware information on the bios, only the integrated. It isn’t listed on dxdiag either. The pc crashes frequently.

 

Integrated webcam listed as hidden device in Device Manager

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series laptop running Windows 10. A few days ago, the built-in webcam stopped working completely. Programs like Skype, OBS, and TestWebCam all fail to detect it.





At first, the camera appeared to be missing from Device Manager. However, after selecting View → Show hidden devices, I found my Integrated Webcam listed under Imaging Devices.





I have tried all the steps from Dell's official troubleshooting guide:

• Updating drivers for Integrated Webcam in Device Manager gave the message "The best drivers for your device are already installed."
  
• Uninstalling drivers for Integrated Webcam makes it disappear from Device Manager after rebooting.
  
• Updating to the latest BIOS A12 had no effect.
  
• Updating to the latest Chipset 16.400.3601 seemed to have no effect, but bizarrely my AMD settings report version 16.40.3601-161206a-313192C-Dell.
  
• Dell's PC Diagnostics 40 minute scan didn't find any webcam related issues.
  
• Access to the camera is enabled in Windows 10's privacy settings.
