Windows 10: Integrated Camera is not working in Windows 10 but working fine in Ubuntu Linux 20.04 LTS.

I am using MSI Gl63 8RD system. My integrated camera works perfectly on Ubuntu but does not works on Windows 10. It gives an error "Camera not found". I am not able to locate any Camera option in the Device manager too. I have tried multiple solutions to get rid of this problem. Firstly I have checked the privacy setting and have given the access to all the applications. Also, I have enabled the camera using Fn + F6 key. I have also rebooted the windows recently assuming there is any software bug but this also did not solve the problem.

Microphone is not working in Windows 10 but working fine in Ubuntu Linux 18.04 LTS.

I have Logitech Webcam C310. It works fine - 100% in Ubuntu Linux 18.04 LTS but not in Microsoft Windows 10.

On MS Windows 10 - the micro phone is not working. So for zoom meetings - i need to dial by phone.

 

How come: my integrated camera works fine with Skype and Hangout, but not working with Windows 10 Camera app?

As per the description, Camera is working fine with other applications and not with the Camera App. So, there might be some issues with the App. I suggest you to run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter by following the steps provided below and check for
status.

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search bar and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” on top left pane.
• Select “Windows Store Apps” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

Camera not working

This is not a plug and play device, it's built into my laptop.. lol.

Sorry my bad for not mentioning, the program does install and seem to work fine. It did work when I first installed it, but it stopped working. Even if I freshly reinstall.

Errors are as followed..

When I open the program:

A webcam was not found or is not working properly.
Please click connect button and try again.

When I click the connect button....

Camera not found. The camera is in use by another application, or not connected. Make sure the camera is connected and working properly, then try again.

It is connected properly, and there are no other programs running in the back ground.
