Windows 10: Integrated camera randomly switches to PC camera & Stops working.

Im currently running Windows 11 on a Lenovo IdeaPad. I frequently use Zoom for meetings. On several occasions now I look up to realize my camera is off. I try switching it back on several times, but all I get is a black screen. When I check my camera settings in Zoom it says PC camera when it normally says Integrated camera.I know this is not a Zoom issue because I have tried opening the camera app on its own & only get a black screen again. Sometimes after restarting the whole computer it will detect the Integrated camera again instead of the PC camera and work fine, but only for 15 min

Camera not found (Integrated laptop camera)

I used to have access to my laptop's integrated camera. It has been a few months since I have used the camera in Zoom, but today it does not show up. I have Win10-32 Home (Version 1909 - OS Build 18363.1082) and assume it might have been removed somehow when Windows did an update. I have done all the things I know to do. Device Manager does not show a camera and a scan does not show any camera. I also checked all the categories in DM and there just is no camera. When I type camera in the start menu, it opens a page that says my camera cannot be found and the error code is: 0xA00F4244-no camera attached.

I went to the MSI driver website, but there are no camera drivers. Also, a motherboard and chipset update from the driver webpage did not add the camera drivers. Not sure what else I can do, but I need the camera.

 

Camera not working with Skype

Well I can't see one!!!

If I plug in an external USB camera then a camera heading appears in Device Manager and the USB camera is listed. Remove the USB camera and the entire camera section disappears

Cant remember if I said but,for hte avoidance of doubt, the Internal Lenovo camera appears as a selectable camera in Skype, its just that when selected it does not work (black screen)
