    Integrated GPU being used instead of dedicated GPU regardless of settings


    My applications won't properly use my dedicated graphics card. This has been an ongoing issue for a while, but I don't recall for how long. There's a similar thread of someone that has had the same issue but it didn't resolve anything for me. My computer specs are here in a text file.The example game I'll be mostly using is Grounded, since that's where I first noticed this. I've tried most solutions from other people on the internet, but none have worked so far. For some reason, only Discord seems to use my dedicated graphics card, which makes me think that the problem is in the software, not

    Cant use dedicated gpu

    Hello I'm trying to use my dedicated GPU in place of my integrated but after I saw this

    I had no clue what to do so I went into my BIOS to change it and there was integrated and switchable listed I picked switchable and still nothing now I'm here hoping somebody can help me.

    I'm running windows 10 home version 1903, integrated gpu=intel graphics 3000, dedicated=AMD radeon graphics HD 7670M

    How to use dedicated GPU for Minecraft Windows 10 Edition

    Hello,

    I have an issue with the game. It always uses the integrated GPU which is a Intel HD Graphics 630 instead of my dedicated GPU which is a GTX 1050.

    How can i set my dedicated GPU as default whenever i launch Minecraft ?

    Hello,

    I open this question as I have a persistant problem of integrated GPU selected instead of the dedicated GPU when I play games on my Laptop :

    CPU : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz

    RAM : 16 GB

    Integrated GPU : Intel(R) HD Graphics 630

    Dedicated GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

    OS : Windows 10 home

    Manufacturer: Asus

    I tried many solutions to fix this : updating the drivers of both GPU, updating the BIOS, checking Windows update, setting the dedicated GPU as the main GPU in the NVIDIA control panel (but I learned that this panel does not work anymore), setting the high performance GPU in Windows graphics setting, etc. None of these works...

    At one point it seemed to be very close to work since the GPU was used normally while playing (~90% usage) but only if the computer was unplugged : as soon as I plugged it, the dGPU stopped being used (usage below 5%) and the game slowed down drastically. Now even this does not work anymore : the GPU is almost never used so every game is slow.
