Windows 10: Intel adapter driver must be reinstalled weekly

I have an Intel AX201 adapter onboard my HP Specter 360 laptop - I7 11th gen. I routinely notice a degradation of my wifi performance. When I uninstall the device, or if I simply disable and then reenable the network card, my wifi performance is 500+ MBS. After a couple of weeks, it is down to 200 MBS or less. The moment I disable/enable the network card, I am back to 500+ MBS. What is going on?

Method 1: I suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter as below and check if it helps.

• Type in search bar as control panel.
• Then select troubleshooting.
• Click on hardware and sound option.
• Then click on “hardware and devices “and follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: I suggest you to uninstall the network drivers as below steps.

• Press Windows+X and select “Device manager”.
• Then expand the Network adapters.
• Right click on the driver and uninstall it.

And then go to the manufacturers website download the network drivers, install it and check if the issue persists.

Incorrect display adapter driver for my Asus K42JK laptop

What happens when trying to install the right driver? Do you receive any error?

I suggest you to Uninstall and reinstall the Display driver and check if it works for you.
Refer to the steps below:

Follow the steps to uninstall the Display driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
• Right-click on the Display Adapter listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
• Select the option to Delete driver software.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

Now download the drivers the manufacturer website and install it.

New Intel drivers almost weekly ?!

I built two new desktops, one in 2017, and one in 2018. Both have Intel mother boards with built in graphics. Both constantly nag me about driver updates. I assume the nags are because of a support program installed "INTEL DRIVER & SUPPORT ASSISTANT", that I installed on the new systems.

I used to install the graphics drivers when offered, but now I just ignore them most of the time. If you have "Intel Driver & Support Assistant" installed, you can change or disable it's notifications via Start>Notifications & Actions. I suspect deleting the program would also disable the update nags. If you don't have this program installed, then I don't have any suggestions. Sorry.
