Windows 10: Intel Bluetooth Device Manager flashing in Windows 10

I was having an odd problem where my motherboard ASRock z390 Pro4 built in Intel bluetooth suddenly stopped working. I'm not sure if it was after a windows update or just random. When device manager was opened the blue tooth device would appear and disappear over and over, and the computer would chime over and over as though hardware was being found. I updated my Bios, and all of the drivers for the motherboard, as well as bluetooth drivers within windows. With no luck. Bluetooth Failure: Intel Wireless Bluetooth continueously refreshes Device Manager and Bluetooth not on/enabled

After a BSOD (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT), Bluetooth no longer functions. I have a

HP 15-bs132nr running Windows 10 Home that has recently been RMA'd for a WD hard drive crash,
but this seems to be unrelated as I received it approximately a month ago with no issues (this is the first BSOD it has had.)

Some of the symptoms are as follows:

• Intel Wireless Bluetooth continuously refreshes (flashes) the Device Manager dialog. When disabled, the updates to the window stop.
• Action Center no longer displays the Bluetooth Quick Action, and it no longer exists in settings.

It could be a hardware problem, but I'm hoping that it's a software issue so I don't have to RMA it again. It has sat motionless for over half the time.

Steps taken to attempt to alleviate the problem (in order):

1. Restart.
2. Driver update (generic driver from Intel).
3. Complete removal of the device and software (as recommended
   here), and reinstallation. The laptop contains an
   Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168.

 

Bluetooth in windows 10

So I bought a new Bluetooth headphones the skull candy uproar since my old one isn't working. It came with only the headset and usb charging cable. The problem is I can't seem to pair it to my pc. I have windows 10 by the way. There is no Bluetooth on off button in windows settings. I went to device manager but there us no icon for Bluetooth. I did everything I knew but none of it worked.I can post pictures if anyone needs.An alternative might be a Bluetooth dongle but I m not sure I'd it would work plus I paid $50 so don't wanna spend more

I looked up on Internet and many people seem to have issues with windows 10 and Bluetooth. I thought of asking here knowing my UK friends are smart.

Anyone have any idea of how to get Bluetooth to work on my pc.

PS don't curse windows 10. I already know it's a mess and not a very good os.

I apologize for the delayed response.



We would suggest you to try uninstalling the drivers completely from the computer and reinstalling it from the computer manufacturer website. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Bluetooth.
   
3. Right click on Intel Wireless Bluetooth device and select
   Uninstall device.
   
4. Now, select the checkbox for Delete the driver software for this device.
   
5. Download the drivers from computer manufacturer’s website and install them.
