Windows 10: Intel Driver is stuck installing

I saw that I had two driver updates available through the Intel Driver and Support app, so I clicked on it and downloaded the two driver updates. Then I clicked on install on only one of them which was an accident really, but I didn't think it mattered, and now it's stuck on installing. It says "in progress" with a loading wheel to the left of it. It hasn't changed or anything at all and I have no clue how to fix it. I haven't found anything on the internet for it either. I don't want to shut down/restart my pc in fear of messing something up, but I can't cancel the installation or make it u

Hi David,

Windows 10 update remove the Intel WiDi driver due to compatibility issue. We suggest uninstalling the Intel WiDi driver from Control Panel to avoid it from showing up every time you start your computer. To do this, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click Programs.
• Choose Programs and Features.
• Click Intel (R) WiDi Driver and hit Uninstall.
• Restart your computer.

How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused
