Windows 10: Intel GMA Drivers

Hi all,

Is anyone else (or everyone else) have an issue with dual-monitor setups as far as resolutions are concerned? I am an AV engineer and programmer and I had my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro hooked up to a Crestron DigitalMedia video system, which is really some of the best display processing and routing out there. The laptop kept outputting 1920x1200 no matter what the resolution for MON 2 was set to in Display Settings (or Advanced Display Settings). I changed it to 1280x720 and while Windows said that's what it was, that's not what was showing up at the video switcher. I even edited the EDID for the HDMI input to take out resolutions and it ALWAYS output the MAX resolution that the EDID had, regardless of what I set Windows to output.

I rebooted back to Windows 8.1 (dual-boot) and everything was fine. I downloaded the GMA drivers for Windows 8.1 and Have Disk installed them to Win10, and it didn't fix anything.

Very strange.

Is there a secret place where Intel has beta drivers for Windows 10?

Windows 10 and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600

Hi ,

Is there any hope Microsoft will develop a driver fro GMA 3600 (and probably some other display adaptors) before the end of Windows 10 free upgrade period?

I have a fairly recent notebook with Windows 7 and really wish to upgrade it to Windows 10, but can't because Intel is not providing a Windows 10 driver for GMA 3600. There is a discussion about this topic posted since more than two months Windows
10 and Intel GMA 3600 driver but there is no word from Microsoft!

Please, could someone from Microsoft advise on this?

 

Problems after Windows 10

I was eagerly waiting for a comprehensive Driver Update since my Asus Netbook with Intel GMA 3600 is not working properly with the available Microsoft Basic Display Adapter drivers. The problems i faced after initial Windows 10 upgrade
are as follows:

1. Intel GMA 3600 driver incompatibility locked the resolution at 800x600 resulting in improper display of several applications.

2. HDMI and VGA ports stopped functioning.

3. Screen brightness was not controlled any more.

In fact i was expecting a solution in the form of compatible updated drivers for the intel GMA 3600 series. None of my problem was solved with this upgrade.
