Windows 10: Intel Graphics driver v27.20.100.8336 released for Windows 10

Intel DCH graphics driver version 27.20.100.8336 is now available for Windows 10 version 1709 and later. The only major change in the new graphics driver is improved support for some games and bug fixes.

In the release notes, Intel confirmed that DCH version v27.20.100.8336 has addressed crashes or performance issues in games such as Ring of Elysium and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Another bug has been fixed where graphic anomalies could be seen when you press Windows 10’s Alt + Tab shortcut. The update also includes bug fixes for the internal embedded panel on some configurations with 10th generation Intel CPU and UHD Graphics.

Intel is currently aware of the following known issues in this release:

• Green artifacts when you preview composition in Adobe After Effects.
• Sony Catalyst Production Suite may crash.
• Minor graphics anomalies Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege (Vulkan), Battlefield V (DX12), Rage 2 (Vulkan), Star Wars Battlefront 2 (DX12), and Rise of the Tomb Raider (DX12).

The previous update for Intel DCH drivers, which was released in the last week of May, added official support for Minecraft Dungeons and other games. Intel recently fixed a bug resulting in screen to flicker for 1 to 3 seconds when you resize the Netflix video playback in Microsoft Edge.

The latest driver update is compatible with most of the hardware, from 6th-generation processors up to the new 10th-generation. Intel is also supporting Pentium, Celeron, and Xeon processors.

As usual, you can download Intel’s driver update using ‘Intel Driver & Support Assistant’ tool. It’s also available in .zip and .exe formats on Intel’s website.

Intel Graphics Command Center (Beta)


Earlier this month, Intel also started rolling out a new update to Graphics Command Center in its beta state with improvements for the one-click performance optimization and screen streaming feature.



Capture & Stream feature will now allow you to save content to local disk/stream, record/stream sound, and there’s also a new Collage Mode to help you merge multiple displays into one desktop.

The update for Intel Graphics Command Center is currently available on the Microsoft Store for beta testers.

Windows 10 Game Bar gets Intel GCC


Windows 10’s Game Bar is also getting support for the Intel Graphics Command Center in the latest beta update.



To access Intel GCC during a game, open Game Bar (Win key + G) and add Graphics Command Center (Beta) from the new widget store.

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver not compatible with Windows 10

Hi Jae,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10!

Some programs and/or drivers might not work as expected in Windows 10 as some manufacturers are still in the process of manufacturing the new definitions of the drivers.

In this case, you can download an older version of the driver and install it in compatibility mode with a compatible version of Windows.

For example, you can download Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator version compatible to Windows 7 and install in compatibility mode in Windows 10. Refer to the following steps:

Step 1: Download and save the driver on the desktop from the following link.

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows* 7(exe)

Step 2: Install the driver in compatibility mode.

• Right click on the driver, and click on Properties.
• Go to the Compatibility tab.
• Check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for:
• Select Windows 7 in the list of Operating systems.
• Click OK.
• Double-click the driver file to install the driver and follow the onscreen instructions.
• Reboot your computer.

1.- Download from this site the beta zip file (win64_154012.zip), and not the exe file:

Download Beta Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

(for 32-bit download win32_154012.zip).

2.- Unzip the driver to C:\Windows\Temp folder.

3.- Right click on Start and choose Device Manager, Display adapters,
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.

4.- Double click to open it (or right click and choose Properties).

5.- Click on the Driver tab and then on Update Driver.

6.- On the new tab click on Browse my computer for driver software.

7.- On the new tab click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

8.- On the new tab click on Have Disk.

9.- Click on Browse and then choose Windows\Temp\win64_154012\Graphics\igdlh64.inf
(igdlh32.inf for 32-bit) and click on Open and then
OK.

10..- On the new tab where Intel (R) HD Graphics Family is showing click on
Next and let the driver to install.

11.- The new Driver Version is 20.19.15.4326 and is digitally signed.

Be aware to follow step by step all the procedure and do not try to use the wizard to update the driver directly, in many cases it won’t work.
