Hi all,I'm using a lenovo thinkpad p15v gen 2 and since I'm working with 3 external monitors, I've attached one to the HDMI port and for the other 2 I'm using a usb type-c to hdmi adpater, WJESOG USB C a Dual HDMI USB 3.0, with Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers Version 30.0.101.1404. Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers Version 30.0.101.1994 stop my USB TYPE-C to HDMI adapter to work

Hi all,

I'm using a lenovo thinkpad p15v gen 2 and since I'm working with 3 external monitors, I've attached one to the HDMI port and for the other 2 I'm using a usb type-c to hdmi adpater, WJESOG USB C a Dual HDMI USB 3.0, with Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers Version 30.0.101.1404. All is working perfectly.

Recently Windows Update installed Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers Version 30.0.101.1994, after the reboot the monitors attached to USB type-c adapter were not usable anymore, they are marked as disabled and also if from Intel Graphics command center there is an option to re enable them, it doesn't take effect.

The only workaround I found was to rollback to version 30.0.101.140 of the drivers and enable a windows registry key to disable drivers update from windows update.

I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong and perhaps there is a solution that allow me to use the latest version of the graphics drivers without loosing my 2 monitors connected the usb type-c to hdmi adapter.

Intel® Graphics Control Panel in DCH driver

Hi,

After I updated Windows 10 with 1809 version I lost access to Intel® Graphics Control Panel where I could disable auto screen brightness.

I found out that version brings so called "DCH" drivers for Intel and the Control Panel was replaced with this app

Get $Intel® Graphics Control Panel from the Microsoft Store

However, I can not launch it says "Intel Graphics Card is not available. Check the driver status and then launch the application."

I found that DCH driver that is installed together with 1809 is missing COM component that contains Strings for localization.

I asked MSI what I should do and they blamed Intel and Microsoft. I asked Intel and they blame Microsoft now. Unfortunately, problem doesn't get solved.

Was anybody able to fix this issue with Intel® Graphics Control Panel ?

 

Correct driver for Intel Graphics 620?

Intel has now gone to DCH drivers whereas your laptop manufacturer doesn't appear have gone that direction. Anyway if you want the latest HP specific drivers you can visit HP's site... or you can decide to go with the Intel DCH drivers.

Also, be aware that once you choose the DCH drivers, going back to the non-DCH drivers won't be as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling the non-DCH drivers.

Anyway, I'm in the process of deciding whether to go with DCH or stick with Lenovo's non-DCH drivers. With that I would highly suggest you at least read the Intel FAQ's article before deciding which direction to go.
