    Intel HD Graphics 4000 Mobile on Windows 1809 Error Code 48: The software for this device...


    After upgrading to Windows 10 1809 my graphics driver failed to start with the above error 48.
    I installed the latest driver from Intel (10.18.10.5059) But I get the same error.
    It seems that the new version of Windows considers that igxpin.exe and igxpun.exe are ransomware

    Hello Geethu,

    Thank you for you reply.

    I tried step 1 and it scans and detects an error but does not fix it. "Intel HD Graphics 4000 is not working properly".

    As for step 2, I only get a note telling me "Windows 10 drivers may be available through Windows Update".

    Going on your suggestion, I tried the previous 5 or 6 drivers from windows 8.1, 8 and 7 just in case, but I still get the same problem (code 43).

    Further help greatly appreciated.

    I have the exact same problem as RUC_Admin.

    Asus Zenbook UX32VD-R3001H.

    No problems with the Intel HD 4000 graphics chip after upgrading from Win8 to Win10.

    But since the 2017 Fall Creator update, the Intel HD 4000 is flagged with error code 43.

    Booting now takes forever.

    And no display output to an external monitor anymore.

    Driver update of both graphics adapters did not help.

    Windows Troubleshooting did not help.

    My computer is ready for windows 10 update, its reserved. But it gave me a message saying my intel hd graphics 4000 driver is not compatible. There is no windows 10 drivers on Intels site. Will microsoft give an updated driver for intel hd graphics 4000
