Windows 10: Intel High Definition Audio Driver

When I press the volume keys on my keyboard there is no display indicating this, and there is no sound through the laptop or the headphones. When I clicked on the volume icon a window opened and automatically scanned for hardware changes, detecting that there had been none. In the device manager under other devices, Intel High Definition Audio, it says that the drivers are not installed for this device, and that ther are no compatible drivers for this device. I clicked on update drivers and was told there were none for this device. I then went to the control panel and under the sound menu it says that there are no audio devices installed. What happened? The sound was working fine one minute and now it does not even exist on my laptop. I have tried the Intel Driver and Support Assistant, but it did not detect any needed drivers for Intel High Definition Audio or that is is even present on my laptop, which it is on device manager. And only Intel Display Audio was even acknowledged on the driver update assistant. What can I do know?

• Press Windows key + X key and click
  Device Manager.
• Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.
• Select the Driver tab.
• Click on Update Driver.
• Select the option “browse my computer for driver software”.
• Select the option “let me pick up a list of device drivers on my computer”.
• Select the High Definition Audio Device instead of IDT High Definition" And click next.

I don't have the IDT High Definition Audio Codec Driver installed on my computer

If you want to have the high definition audio codec driver on your computer, we suggest updating your sound driver. Follow the steps below to update sound driver.

• On Start menu and type
  Device Manager and press enter.
• Click Sound, video, and game controllers.
• Right-click IDT High definition audio codec and
  Update driver.
• If there are no update available, reinstall the driver by clicking Uninstall.
• Restart the computer. Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

We also suggest updating the chipset driver from your manufacturer's website. Click

IDT - Audio Device - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC - Error 0x8007001f

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.

2. Select Driver tab.

3. Click Update Driver... button.

4. Select -> Browse my computer for driver software.

5. Select -> Let I pick up a list of device drivers on my computer.

6. Select HighDefinition Audio Device (Not IDT High Def... This is important.) And click next.

Appears Warning message, but reply Yes.

7. Windows has successfully update your driver software.
