Windows 10: Intel NUC8i7HVK only stereo output from HD Audio device

Recently noticed that i no longer had 5.1/7.1 or 24/96 and higher options for my NUC 8i7HVK using the AMD HD audio over HDMI to my NAD t758 receiver. Not sure when it stopped working. Running Win10 1903 and Intel Driver and Support Assistant says everything is up to date.


Saw this in the driver events


Device SWD\MMDEVAPI\{0.0.0.00000000}.{8c248fee-0053-4e46-b280-8cd6f23694ac} was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.


Re-seating and trying different HDMI cables has not helped. It had been working fine and the NAD T758v3 has up to date HDMI features.

It works with windows driver, don't work with intel hd audio driver.

In 8.1 works good.

 

No Audio Output Device is Installed

Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

2. Select "playback devices".

3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

5. Save the changes.

Output audio to multiple devices in Windows 10

Earlier with the help of stereo mix option it was possible to output the audio to different devices. However the stereo mix option is removed now.

Is there any other way to send audio output to 2 different devices in windows 10?

Or possibly get stereo mix option again
