Windows 10: Intel processor BSOD - WHEA_UNCONTROLLABLE ERROR 124

Hi! I got hit with a sudden BSOD out of blue. The PC is currently working normally but the error description has me worried. The minidump file says something about processor issue but im not knowledgable enough to understand the details fully so i hope someone can help pinpoint the problemSome PC info:Laptop ASUS TUF GamingRAM: 8GBWindows 10Processor: Intel Core i5 8300H @2.30 GHzGPU: Nvidia GTX 1050Im also attaching the minidump file: 122524-22453-01 - Copy.dmpAny help would be appreciated

Resolution

Follow the troubleshooting steps below as they may help with this error.

• Try to load the default BIOS setting in your system.
  
  • Or, try to update the BIOS.
    
  • Note: You may wish to note the current BIOS settings before resetting the BIOS.
    

I have updated to the most recent BIOS and reset the BIOS settings to default.

• Undo any recent hardware or software change.
  

I haven't made any recent hardware or software changes - the problems occur from a clean Windows install.

• Test the processor using the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool to verify the functionality of the processor. The result of "PASS" indicates that there is no issue with the processor. Refer to The Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool Overview on how to test the Intel Processor.
  

The processor passed the diagnostic tool tests.

• If the above steps did not work, refer to WHEA-Logger Processor Core Internal Parity Error for more tips on how to resolve this error.
  

I read through the forum suggestions but they seem to refer to a different event ID and the solutions didn't apply.

 

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) BSOD

BSOD 124 (When OCing) usually means needs more VCORE.

 

BSOD 124 while gaming

PSU should be fine if its working properly. Not the greatest quality, the TX series, but more than adequate.

124 BSOD is typically a lack of voltage, at least when overclocking anyway. I would try to add .05V to your Vcore and see if that helps.
