Windows 10: intel rst not showing my 1TB hard disk and its data

After installing Intel rapid storage technology, it ask me to protect my storage and i opt it then my hdd of 1TB and its data not showing. in my pc there is two drive showing with same 117GB of storage. in disk management it showing my hard disk as unalloted. what to do now. Is my data Ok. and if deleted can I recover it.

You can follow the methods mentioned below and check if that helps:

Method 1: Changing the startup type for Service

You can try changing the startup type for the Intel RST service and check if that makes a difference. Please refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press and hold Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type serivces.msc and click on
   OK.
   
3. Now, scroll down, look for Intel RST service, right click on it and click on
   Properties.
   
4. Now, under startup type select Automatic from the drop down menu.
   
5. Click on Apply and OK.
   

Method 2: Updating the drivers manually

You can try downloading the latest version of Intel Rapid Storage Driver from the

Intel Website and check if that helps. However, I would suggest checking with the motherboard manufacturer website as well.

Intel® RST Mirror data

Something broke my mirror RAID(1).
I ended up with two disks in windows that was not synced.

How do a create a new mirror raid from an HDD with data on it. I dont want a blank new mirror raid. I want one disk to mirror to the other drive.
Intel® RST in windows you have the option to chose the drive you want to keep data from when create an raid. The problem is that Intel® RST windows just crash when i try to do that.
Intel® RST in "bios-mode" there i can only create raid(1) that will erase the data on both disks. I dont want that i want one disk to be mirrored to the other.

Any ide on how mirror the disks in Intel® RST?

 

My disk is not an Intel product. Why do I have to install Intel RST?

When I seek to install the recent Windows update(1903), Windows Update mandates me to install Intel RST. Despite this, I do not use an Intel SSD nor have a Intel RST disk manager. Instead, my disk is Micron 1100 and my only disk manager is the Microsoft's
one. Why do I have to install Intel RST?
