    Hello! So, I just recently purchased this laptop. The sound is muffled when I use my headphones and earphone while listening to music or in playing games. Even after numerous attempts of finding solutions in youtube and google, it remains muffled. It sounds fine when I enable the audio enhancements, however it is echoey and I don't like the sound. Really, I have no idea how to repair this. I've seen some concerns about this audio driver but I haven't seen a fix.Processor 11th Gen IntelR CoreTM i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 2.42 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB 15.8 GB usable Device ID 42F32806-98F2-4C1

    [FIXED] Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED Not starting correctly

    I had the same problem on an Intel NUC 10 and the answer on the Intel support site is:

    Description

    No audio output after system update or driver update or BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) update.



    Resolution

    Open Device manager

    In System devices > Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller

    Right click and select Update driver

    Select Browse my computer for driver software

    Select let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

    Select High Definition Audio controller and install.

    Intel Smart Sound Technology for I2S Audio Muffled Audio

    Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller Issue

    I'm having issue with the Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller on Aspire VN7-792G.

    I'm on Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.164).

    The Device Manager shows I have the latest driver but troubleshooting has shown 'Audio services not responding' and the issue is not fixed.

    I've tried Intel Driver Update Utility 2.4 but no drivers showed up after scanning.
